The shield displays stylised charges including floral or fan-like devices in the quarters. The armorial achievement is depicted in high relief, filling nearly the entire inner field. | Aanvullende informatie |
The Principality of Hutt River was a self-declared micronation on a wheat farm in Western Australia, established in 1970 when Leonard Casley seceded from Australia in a dispute over wheat production quotas. It issued its own currency, stamps, and passports for decades, attracting enough tourist interest to sustain itself. "Graeme I" refers to Graeme Casley, Leonard's son, who assumed the role of sovereign in 2017 after his father's abdication. The principality dissolved in 2020 when Leonard Casley, having returned to power briefly, wound it up to avoid a substantial tax debt to the Australian government.
