| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Palau depicted centrally within a shield, showing a traditional scene with a sea deity holding a trident flanked by a mermaid figure, surmounted by a native fisherman in a canoe. The shield is surrounded by stylised ocean waves and water splash elements that extend into the field. Eight five-pointed stars arranged in an arc flank the left and right sides of the design. | Reverse description | A highly detailed, ultra-high relief effigy of the Goddess of Water rendered as a serene female face occupying the central field, her flowing hair radiating outward and merging with stylised aquatic wave patterns across the background. Two gold-gilded koi carp in exquisite relief encircle the goddess's face, their scales and fins rendered with exceptional sculptural precision. Scattered spherical water droplets and undulating wave motifs fill the surrounding field, reinforcing the aquatic theme. The overall finish is black proof with selective gold gilding applied to the koi. The date 2024 is incused at the lower rim. |
