Two Arawak indigenous figures serve as supporters to either side, the dexter supporter holding a pineapple and the sinister a spear. A scroll beneath the shield bears the national motto. The legend JAMAICA arcs along the upper periphery, with TEN DOLLARS and the date 1977 arranged along the lower periphery, all within a beaded border. The Franklin Mint mark FM appears in the obverse field. |
