| Obverse description | The obverse features the national coat of arms of Liberia centrally positioned in the field, depicting a sailing ship approaching a rocky shoreline with a palm tree and a rising sun, surmounted by a decorative mantle and flanked by doves. A scroll below the shield bears the legend REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA. The circular outer legend reads REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA along the upper periphery, with the motto THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE inscribed on a ribbon across the upper portion of the arms.
