| 裏面の説明 | A finely detailed relief depiction of the Grumman F-14 Tomcat variable-sweep wing fighter aircraft in dynamic low-altitude flight, shown in a three-quarter perspective banking over a textured ocean surface rendered in the lower field. The aircraft's distinctive twin tail fins, swept wings, and fuselage detail are rendered with considerable sculptural precision. The legend 'F-14 TOMCAT' arcs along the upper border of the field, and the denomination '10 DOLLARS' appears in the lower right portion of the field. |

The Marshall Islands began issuing brass commemorative dollars in the early 1990s through a licensing arrangement with the Franklin Mint, producing collectibles with no meaningful circulation role in a country that primarily uses the US dollar. The F-14 Tomcat issue appeared the same year the Navy announced the type's impending retirement — a decision that proved contentious, as the Tomcat's unique swing-wing design and air superiority record from fleet service had made it institutionally popular far beyond its actual operational requirements.
The F-14 was formally retired in 2006. Iran remains the only foreign operator, having received 79 airframes under the Shah before the 1979 revolution.
