Beschrijving voorzijde Right-facing draped bust effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as portrayed by sculptor Raphael David Maklouf, occupying the central field within a circular inset on the rectangular flan. The legend 'ELIZABETH II' arcs along the upper left, '2015' and 'NIUE ISLAND' appear to the upper right, and the denomination '10 Dollars' is inscribed below the portrait. The portrait presents the Queen wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, rendered in fine relief against a frosted field.

Aanvullende informatie

Niue's numismatic program has functioned primarily as a revenue-generating exercise for decades, licensing its sovereignty to private mints and bullion dealers who issue collectibles under the island's authority. This piece — part of a wave of themed silver issues that flooded the market in the 2010s — was produced for the collector and gift market rather than any domestic monetary purpose. Niue's GDP at the time of issue was under $20 million USD; the coin program itself contributed meaningfully to government revenue.
