| Obverse description | The obverse features the fourth effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt, depicted in right-facing profile as a mature portrait at age 77, bare-headed, wearing a necklace and drop earrings. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper field, with the abbreviated title D·G·REGINA completing the royal inscription. The effigy is rendered in fine relief against a smooth field, consistent with the standard Canadian circulation and commemorative obverse design adopted in 2003. |
