Obverse lettering ELIZABETH II D·G·REGINA
(Translation: Elizabeth II Queen by the grace of God)
Reverse description A stylized dog, rendered in an intricate filigree and floral scroll pattern evoking traditional Chinese paper-cut artistry, stands in profile facing left at center of the reverse field. The body of the dog is filled with ornate swirling botanical motifs including blossoms and leaves. To the right of the dog appears the Chinese character 狗 (dog). Along the lower portion of the field, a decorative lattice border panel incorporates a centrally placed rose blossom. The legend 2018 · CANADA · 10 DOLLARS arcs along the upper periphery, and the designer's initials SN appear in small relief at lower right.
