Reverse description The reverse presents a vibrant, colour-applied winter pastoral scene depicting families enjoying recreational ice skating upon a frozen pond, framed by snow-dusted evergreen trees and a tranquil winter landscape. The colourisation technique, applied over fine silver relief, renders the scene with rich, naturalistic hues that evoke the Canadian winter tradition. The denomination 10 DOLLARS and issuer CANADA appear within the legend, flanking the date 2013 along the lower portion of the design. The composition was engraved by José Osio and exemplifies the Royal Canadian Mint's celebrated series of coloured fine silver commemorative issues celebrating Canadian life and culture.
