This piece belongs to a wave of Commonwealth-themed commemoratives Fiji issued in the early 2000s, largely marketed through the Bradford Exchange and similar direct-sale channels rather than through numismatic dealers or reserve bank distribution. The Westminster Choristers subject ties it to the Queen's Golden Jubilee commemorative program of 2002, which generated an enormous volume of licensed issues across dozens of territories — Fiji among them — many with no meaningful connection to the subject honored.
