| Reverse description | The reverse presents a bold, typographically driven composition commemorating the Velvet Revolution of 17 November 1989. The Czech inscription SAMETOVÁ REVOLUCE (Velvet Revolution) dominates the upper field in large raised lettering, beneath which the historic slogans KDY, KDYŽ NE TEĎ? (When, if not now?) and KDO, KDYŽ NE MY? (Who, if not us?) are rendered in a dynamic, overlapping typographic arrangement. The commemorative date 17.11.1989 is inscribed across the lower field. Silhouetted figures of protesters are integrated into the lettering design, and a detailed view of Prague Castle with its Gothic cathedral appears in the lower portion of the field, rendered in fine relief against a frosted background. |
