Reverse description A fully-rigged two-masted sailing corvette, identified as the Uranie, depicted in left profile sailing upon stylized ocean waves, her sails billowing and rigging rendered in fine detail. The upper field carries the arc legend LOUIS DE FREYCINET flanked by dots on the left and URANIE flanked by a dot on the right. Along the lower arc the legend SOUTH PACIFIC EXPLORATION 1818-1819 encircles the base of the design, with the denomination $10 appearing prominently in the lower central field.
