Johnny Bower played his first NHL game at 26 and didn't become a full-time starter until he was past 30, spending years in the minor leagues before the Toronto Maple Leafs claimed him in the 1958 waiver draft. He then helped backstop four Stanley Cup championships for Toronto, the last of which came in 1967 — the franchise's most recent to date. This coin belongs to the Royal Canadian Mint's ongoing NHL series, which licenses individual player likenesses under agreements with both the league and the Players' Association.
