| 背面描述 | Full-color reproduction of the celebrated ukiyo-e woodblock print 'Three Beauties of the Kansei Era' (寛政三美人) by the master artist Kitagawa Utamaro, depicting three celebrated beauties of the Kansei period arranged in a close three-quarter composition. The three women — traditionally identified as Fujimoto Tomimoto Toyohina, Naniwaya Okita, and Takashima Hisa — are shown in elaborate traditional coiffures adorned with ornamental hairpins, dressed in richly patterned kimono. The artwork is rendered in vivid polychrome color printing directly applied to the silver flan, faithfully reproducing the delicate linework, muted tonal palette, and expressive characterization of the original print. A vertical Japanese inscription appears in the upper right field of the design, consistent with the cartouche text found on the original woodblock composition. |
