Obverse description The fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt, depicting the monarch in right-facing portrait as a mature adult, bareheaded, wearing a necklace and drop earrings. The legend 'ELIZABETH II D·G·REGINA' arcs along the upper periphery in Latin script. The rim and legend area are rendered in selective gold plating, contrasting with the struck silver field. The portrait is rendered in fine relief typical of Royal Canadian Mint collector issues.
