| 正面描述 | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, rendered in high relief against a mirrored field. The legend 'ELIZABETH II' runs along the left curved edge, while 'CORAL SEA ISLANDS TERRITORY' arcs along the right curved edge. The portrait is executed in a classical numismatic style consistent with the Arnold Machin or Ian Rank-Broadley tradition. The coin's quarter-circle shape frames the bust within a fan-shaped format. |

The Saumarez Reefs sit roughly 300 kilometres east of the Queensland coast in the Coral Sea, administered under the Coral Sea Islands Territory — one of Australia's more obscure external territories, with no permanent population and a weather station as its sole infrastructure. This coin is part of Australia Post's ongoing Coral Sea Islands series, which has used pad printing on silver-plated cupro-nickel to render the kind of full-colour detail that conventional minting processes cannot achieve on a curved surface. The technique bonds ink directly to the planchet under pressure rather than heat.
