Beschrijving voorzijde Diademed effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, set within an open laurel wreath occupying the central field. The peripheral legend runs continuously around the coin, reading EASTERN CARIBBEAN CENTRAL BANK at the top, TEN DOLLARS at the right, QUEEN ELIZABETH II at the bottom, and 1 OZ .9999 GOLD at the left. The portrait is rendered in low relief against a polished field, consistent with a bullion coin aesthetic.

Aanvullende informatie

The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, established in 1983 to manage monetary policy across eight island territories, rarely issues gold coinage — most ECCB collector pieces are silver. This 2019 gold issue commemorates the flying boat and seaplane services that connected the Eastern Caribbean islands throughout the mid-twentieth century, when inter-island air travel depended almost entirely on aircraft capable of landing on water rather than prepared runways, which most islands lacked.
