| Reversbeschreibung | The reverse features a detailed panoramic depiction of the city of San Francisco. To the left, the iconic skyline of the city is rendered in low relief, with the Transamerica Pyramid and other skyscrapers silhouetted against the field; a globe appears in the upper left corner. Dominating the right portion of the design is a boldly rendered representation of the Golden Gate Bridge in perspective view, conveying depth and architectural grandeur. The year of issue 2015 is inscribed in the upper central field. The legend SAN FRANCISCO is incused in large capital letters along the lower exergue, serving as the principal inscription of the reverse. |

The Solomon Islands has issued a long-running series of small-denomination gold pieces through the Perth Mint, many tied to the San Francisco mint's history — this being one of them. At one gram of .9999 gold, these were produced primarily for the bullion gift and collector market rather than any circulation purpose, a model the Perth Mint refined across dozens of Pacific island issuing authorities whose sovereign status provided the legal framework for the coinage.
