Beschrijving keerzijde Central design featuring the Royal Cypher of Queen Elizabeth II — the interlaced letters E and R surmounted by a crown — positioned at the centre of the field. Surrounding the cypher are four heraldic shields, each bearing a design inspired by one of the emblems of the Royal Arms representing the home nations of the United Kingdom. The numeral 70 appears between each shield, collectively commemorating the monarch's seventy-year reign. The legend QUEEN ELIZABETH II PLATINUM JUBILEE arcs around the upper portion of the field, with the regnal dates 1952 and 2022 flanking the cypher below.

Aanvullende informatie

The Platinum Jubilee commemoratives of 2022 came from dozens of Commonwealth mints simultaneously, producing a flood of small-format gold pieces aimed squarely at the collector market. Solomon Islands has no domestic mint and contracts these issues through external facilities — this piece carries the issuer's name largely as a licensing arrangement rather than any genuine monetary function. Elizabeth II died in September of that year, making this among the final issues struck in her honor before her death rather than after it.
