| Obverse description | Right-facing mature effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, diademed and wearing a pearl necklace and drop earrings, occupying the majority of the field in a highly detailed, sculptural style. The portrait, engraved by Ian Rank-Broadley, displays fine detail in the hair, tiara, and drapery. The circular legend reads ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA, divided at left and right of the bust along the rim. The engraver's initials IRB appear discreetly at the lower left of the field. |
