| Reverse description | Central depiction of Al-Khazneh (The Treasury), the celebrated rock-cut facade of the ancient Nabataean city of Petra, Jordan, rendered in high relief with its characteristic two-storey columned facade and classical pediments framed by surrounding rocky cliffs. The curved legend NEW SEVEN WONDERS OF THE WORLD arcs around the upper periphery, while the denomination 10$ appears in the lower central field. The inscription PETRA - JORDAN is positioned along the lower border, identifying the monument and its location. |

| Additional information |
Part of a broader "Wonders of the World" bullion series issued by the Solomon Islands during the mid-2000s commodity boom, these fractional gold pieces were produced by a European contractor mint — almost certainly B.H. Mayer's Kunstprägeanstalt in Munich — for collector export rather than domestic circulation. The Solomon Islands monetary authority lent its name and legal tender status to the issue purely as a licensing arrangement.
Petra's inclusion reflects its 2007 selection as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World following a private global poll organized by the New7Wonders Foundation — a result disputed by UNESCO, which declined to endorse the exercise.
