| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the George IV State Diadem, a drop earring visible at the ear, rendered in the third definitive portrait by Raphael Maklouf. The legend ELIZABETH II is inscribed along the left arc and COOK ISLANDS along the right arc, both in raised Latin capitals. The date 1992 appears in the lower exergual area beneath the truncation.
