| Obverse description | The obverse is divided diagonally into two contrasting fields: the upper half displays a proof-quality matte-black background against which the diademed and draped effigy of Queen Elizabeth II faces right, modelled by Irene Rudd-Broadley, with the designer's initials IRB visible below the truncation. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the right and NIUE ISLAND along the left. The lower half features a highly polished gold field bearing a central motif of a dove in flight, rendered in relief, with the denomination 10 DOLLARS and the date 2018 inscribed below.
