Obverse description Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, depicted with a diademed and elaborately coiffured hairstyle. The truncation of the bust shows a draped neckline. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs across the upper field, with COOK ISLANDS continuing along the right periphery. The denomination 10 DOLLARS appears in the lower field beneath the effigy. The initials IRB, denoting the engraver Ian Rank-Broadley, are present on the truncation.
