Beschrijving voorzijde Viewed from the interior of the bell-shaped coin, the obverse features a milled circular medallion set at the centre of the concave field, bearing the fourth-generation effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley, rendered in right-facing profile with a diademed and elaborately coiffed portrait. The surrounding legend reads ELIZABETH II SOLOMON ISLANDS 10 DOLLARS, with the engraver's initials IRB, the weight designation 4oz, the date 2018, and the fineness Ag999 inscribed around the medallion. The antiqued finish lends the interior surface a warm, aged patina accentuating the sculptural depth of the bell form.

Aanvullende informatie

The Liberty Bell has appeared on American coinage and currency for well over a century, but Solomon Islands has carved out a niche issuing large-format silver programs tied to American iconography — a product of the modern bullion and collector coin industry rather than any monetary or diplomatic relationship between the two nations. These issues are produced under license arrangements with the Solomon Islands government, which collects a fee while private minting houses handle design, production, and distribution entirely outside the islands.

KM# 105 is one of dozens of similar programs from this issuer. The 4-troy-ounce silver format is characteristic of the genre.
