Beschrijving keerzijde A colourized humpback whale rendered in vivid blue and violet tones dominates the central field, depicted in profile swimming horizontally across the coin. The background features an engraved pattern of stylized ocean waves in the upper portion and radiating linear elements in the lower field, all struck in polished gold. A beaded border frames the entire design. The cursive legend ST. VINCENT & THE GRENADINES arcs across the upper field, and the date 2021 appears in the lower exergual area between decorative dot-and-dash ornaments.

Aanvullende informatie

The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank issues currency on behalf of eight territories — Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Anguilla — making it one of the few remaining active currency unions operating under a single monetary authority outside of the Eurozone. Collector gold of this type is struck for export revenue rather than domestic circulation; no ECCB member state has the domestic market to absorb a 31.1g fine gold piece at face value.
