Reverse description A detailed panoramic view of Heidelberg Castle dominates the centre of the reverse, with the principal castle buildings rendered in selective gold plating (gilt finish) standing in high relief against the mirrored proof field. Below the gilt castle complex, the lower portion of the field depicts the Old Bridge (Karl-Theodor-Brücke) and surrounding landscape rendered in frosted silver relief, conveying the castle's scenic setting above the Neckar River. At the top of the field, the legend GERMANY – HEIDELBERG CASTLE arcs along the upper periphery in raised Latin capitals, accompanied by a globe-and-orbit emblem below it with the two-line inscription WORLD MONUMENTS. The denomination 10 DOLLARS is inscribed in raised letters along the lower portion of the field.
