| 正面铭文 | ELIZABETH II D·G·REGINA (Translation: Elizabeth II Queen by the grace of God) |
| 背面描述 | The reverse features a vivid colour-printed and holographic depiction of the green darner dragonfly (Anax junius), rendered in striking tones of green and blue against a shimmering, holographic marsh background that shifts in dimensional relief when the coin is tilted under light. The dragonfly is shown in naturalistic detail, with its elongated abdomen, translucent wings, and distinctive colouration faithfully represented through the applied colour technique. The composition is set within a polished proof field that contrasts with the vibrant painted and holographic elements. The reverse legend 'CANADA 10 DOLLARS • 2014' is inscribed along the lower periphery in Latin characters. This piece forms part of the Royal Canadian Mint's popular painted dragonfly hologram series in half-ounce fine silver. |

Part of the RCM's "Insects of Canada" series, this issue was produced using a photonics crystal hologram technology the Mint developed in-house to replicate iridescent coloration — the same structural color mechanism that gives the actual Anax junius its appearance. The process embeds a diffraction grating directly into the coin surface rather than applying a foil overlay, which is why the color shifts under different light angles rather than remaining static.
