The Golden Wedding commemorative series of 1997 flooded the collector market from dozens of Commonwealth issuers simultaneously — the Solomon Islands among them — all marking the Queen and Prince Philip's fiftieth anniversary on November 20th. The Royal Mint coordinated much of the underlying planchet supply, meaning coins struck under wildly different issuing authorities frequently share near-identical physical specifications.
KM#128 saw no meaningful circulation. Issued purely as a collector piece, surviving examples almost universally come from original packaging.
