| 正面描述 | Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the fourth definitive portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, depicted with a jewelled crown, earring, and elegantly styled hair. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the left field, while SOLOMON ISLANDS arcs along the right. Below the truncation, the engraver's initials IRB appear alongside the fineness designation 1/100 oz Au 999.9 and the date 2018. The lined background field provides a distinctive modern finish to the design. |

The Swedish gold ducat of 1644 was struck during the regency of Queen Christina, whose minority government under Axel Oxenstierna was simultaneously prosecuting the Thirty Years' War and managing an empire that briefly made Sweden the dominant power in northern Europe. That original ducat series drew on Dutch ducaat conventions that had circulated as trusted trade currency across the Baltic for generations. This Solomon Islands restrike is part of a broad collector program reproducing historical European coinage in fractional gold, using the original designs under license arrangements that became common among Pacific island issuers after the 1990s.
