| Beschrijving keerzijde | A naturalistically rendered Gallimimus dinosaur is depicted in full-body profile, striding toward the left across a stylised prehistoric landscape with low ground shadows. Stylised conifer foliage fills the background in low relief on either side of the figure. In the upper right field, a circular medallion bearing a three-toed dinosaur footprint is surrounded by concentric ring motifs, with the inscription 'GALLIMIMUS' on a banner immediately below it. The weight and fineness designation '0.5g Au.999' appears in the lower left field. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Gallimimus bullatus, the ornithomimid theropod this coin commemorates, was largely obscure to the general public until its 1993 appearance in Jurassic Park — the stampede sequence was among the first uses of fully computer-generated animals in a major film. The Solomon Islands has no paleontological connection to the species whatsoever; the issuance is pure numismatic commerce, produced for the collector bullion market rather than any domestic monetary purpose.
