| Obverse description | Effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, rendered in the fourth definitive portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, whose initials IRB appear below the truncation. The portrait is centrally placed against a lightly frosted field, surrounded by an elaborate decorative border composed of interlaced Celtic and Nordic knotwork motifs, scrolling foliage, and geometric patterns arranged in panels around the entire circumference.
