Obverse description The official FAO (Food and Agriculture Organisation) emblem occupies the central field, depicting a stylized wheat sheaf with grain ears at its base, enclosed within a circular device bearing the letters F, A, and O. The surrounding legend reads WORLD at the top and FOOD DAY at the lower right, with the date 16 OCT positioned across the lower portion of the inner circle, commemorating the inaugural World Food Day of 16 October 1981.
