Reverse description A magnificently detailed depiction of a large, mature maple tree fills the central field, its sprawling canopy rendered with exceptional relief showing individual leaves, branches, and textured bark. In the lower left, a child is shown seated on a rope swing suspended from one of the tree's boughs, evoking a nostalgic scene of Canadian childhood. The composition is framed by two horizontal banner-style recessed panels at the centre left and right, with a single maple leaf appearing in the left panel and the date 2014 inscribed in the right panel. The legend CANADA arcs along the upper border, while the denomination 10 DOLLARS appears in the lower margin. The engraver's initials CD are visible in the lower centre of the design.
