| 正面描述 | Fourth portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, executed after Ian Rank-Broadley's effigy, facing right and wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the left field and SOLOMON ISLANDS along the right. Below the truncation, the engraver's initials IRB appear centrally, flanked by the fineness and weight designation 1/100 oz Au 999.9 and the date 2018. The horizontally lined background field gives the coin a distinctive engineered finish. |

The "Double Leopard" name references one of the rarest coins in existence — an Edward III gold piece struck around 1344, of which only three examples are known to survive. The Solomon Islands issues of this type belong to a long-running series of miniature gold coins that essentially function as bullion collectibles with nominal face values, produced specifically for the numismatic market rather than any circulation purpose. At 0.311 grams, the gold content is negligible by bullion standards, and the appeal is entirely tied to the historical allusion.
