| Obverse description | The quartered coat of arms of Niue occupies the central field, surmounted by a St. Edward's Crown. The shield displays four quarters featuring the Southern Cross stars, three sailing vessels, a native figure, a shell, and crossed hammer and pick, emblematic of the island's heritage. The arms are flanked on either side by sprigs of silver fern, rendered in fine detail.
