| Reverse description | Central composition depicting the Czech heraldic lion rampant, crowned with a royal crown, rendered in high relief within a rectangular shield outline. The double-tailed lion is shown in a powerful striding pose facing left, with a detailed mane and elaborately curled tails. Above the shield, stylised flame-like decorative elements evoke the traditional heraldic mantling. The legend ČESKÁ arcs along the left periphery and REPUBLIKA along the right. The inscription 1/4 oz Au 999.9 appears in the upper field, and a decorative arrangement of foliage and a small blank escutcheon occupies the lower exergue. |

The Czech Lion bullion series, struck by the Czech Mint on behalf of Niue, launched in 2018 and quickly became one of the more competitively priced fractional gold issues in the European market — a deliberate move by the Czech Mint to challenge the dominance of established sovereign fractional programs from Perth and the Royal Mint. The Niue mandate is essentially administrative, providing legal-tender status under Cook Islands monetary arrangements without any meaningful connection to Czech monetary history.
The .9999 fineness places it among the purest fractional gold issues produced in Central Europe.
