| 正面描述 | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, diademed and with lightly draped bust, occupies the central field, framed by two large laurel or palm fronds extending symmetrically from a decorative base beneath the portrait. The peripheral legend reads EASTERN CARIBBEAN BANK at top, with 1 OZ .9999 GOLD at lower left and TEN DOLLARS at lower right, all in raised Latin capitals. The name QUEEN ELIZABETH II appears prominently along the lower arc of the border. The design presents a refined, medallic aesthetic with smooth fields surrounding the central motif. |

The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, which manages monetary policy for eight island states through a currency union established in 1983, rarely issues gold. When it does, the pieces are almost invariably bullion-adjacent collector issues with limited distribution outside specialist channels — this 2022 colored gold piece being no exception. The ECCB's parent organization traces back to the British Caribbean Currency Board of 1950, which itself replaced a patchwork of colonial monetary arrangements that had persisted since the 18th century.
