Beschrijving voorzijde Diademed effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, set at center within an open laurel wreath whose two branches rise from a tied base and frame the portrait on either side. A raised outer ring carries the circular legend, with the issuer name arching across the top, the denomination to the right, the monarch's name along the lower arc, and the fineness and weight specification to the left. The inner field is deeply mirrored, contrasting with the finely struck relief of the portrait and wreath.

Aanvullende informatie

The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank issues currency on behalf of eight member territories — Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Anguilla — a monetary union that has maintained a fixed peg to the US dollar at 2.70 EC dollars since 1976. Gold collector issues in this denomination are struck for the bullion and numismatic export market rather than any domestic circulation purpose; the ECCB has never placed gold coinage into everyday use.
