Reverse description Full-color reproduction of the interior fresco decoration of Filippo Brunelleschi's dome of the Florence Cathedral (Santa Maria del Fiore), depicting the celebrated painted interior of the octagonal cupola with its eight triangular segments. Each segment is richly decorated with figurative scenes and allegorical figures rendered in warm earth tones of ochre, sienna, and muted green, arranged radially around the central circular aperture which corresponds to the oculus of the dome. Decorative architectural moldings frame each painted bay, closely replicating the Renaissance frescoes attributed to Giorgio Vasari and Federico Zuccari. The overall composition mirrors the geometry of the coin itself, the octagonal shape echoing the architectural plan of Brunelleschi's masterwork.
