Reverse description The reverse of this collector gold note presents a vibrant, full-color depiction of Batman in a dynamic crouching combat stance atop a stone parapet, rendered in his classic grey and blue costume with flowing blue cape and the iconic bat-symbol emblazoned on his chest. In the upper left, a monochromatic illustration of Gotham City's skyline, overgrown with dark foliage and surrounded by bats in flight, is integrated within a large stylized bat-symbol silhouette dominating the background field. The inscription 80TH ANNIVERSARY is prominently displayed in the center-left field, commemorating the character's creation in 1939. The Batman logo medallion appears in the lower left corner, with the serial number 19000000 beneath it. The entire composition is set against a gilded guilloche background with subtle Batman-themed imagery.

Additional information

Part of the DC Comics licensing wave that flooded the commemorative market in the late 2010s, this piece was issued by Niue under the long-standing arrangement that allows the Pacific island nation — population under 2,000 — to generate revenue through legal-tender collectibles it will never actually circulate.
