| 备注 |
The Cayman Islands Currency Board was established by the Currency Law of 1971, the same year this series entered circulation — meaning these were among the very first banknotes ever issued for the territory as an independent currency authority. Prior to this, the islands had used Jamaican dollars, and the transition reflected Cayman's administrative separation from Jamaica, which had become effective in 1962 but took nearly a decade to produce a distinct circulating currency.
Anthony Buckley was the principal royal portrait photographer of his era; his image of Elizabeth II was the standard source for De La Rue colonial and Commonwealth issues throughout the early 1970s. The watermark is the sole security feature — no security thread on this first series.
