Obverse description The sixth and final effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as designed by Jody Clark, occupies the center of the obverse, depicting a right-facing crowned portrait of Her Majesty wearing the George IV State Diadem and the Victorian Coronation Necklace. The legend 'ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA 10 DOLLARS' arcs around the upper field, with the dual dates '1990 2020' denoting the 30th anniversary of the series and the designer's initials 'JC' appearing in the lower field. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a polished mirror field, consistent with bullion proof coinage standards.

Reverse description A finely detailed kookaburra is depicted perched upon a rooftop fence or rail in left profile, its beak open in characteristic call, with bold radiating sunburst lines emanating from a rising sun visible behind it in the background. The legend 'AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA' arcs across the upper border in raised lettering, while '30TH ANNIVERSARY' appears along the lower border. The Perth Mint 'P' mintmark is struck to the lower left of the central device, and the inscription '10oz 9999 SILVER' appears vertically along the right inner border. The designer's initials 'JM' are present near the base of the design. The entire reverse is struck in high relief with a frosted finish against a polished field.
