| Reverse description | A stylised kangaroo seated upon rocky terrain, surrounded by native vegetation and a tree, with a rising sun rendered in the background. The composition is executed in a bold, contemporary artistic style characteristic of the Perth Mint's Kangaroo bullion series. The inscription AS 1/10oz .9999 Au appears in the field, denoting the coin's fractional weight and fineness. |

The sixth portrait of Elizabeth II — sculpted by Jody Clark and adopted by Australian mints in 2015 — proved to be the final effigy used during her reign. She died in September 2022, making issues struck that year transitional in a very literal sense: production continued at Perth through the calendar year under a portrait that was, by year's end, historical rather than current.
Perth's one-tenth ounce gold proof kangaroo series maintains .9999 fineness, among the highest purity levels struck by any sovereign mint.
