The Double Dragon series, issued by the Perth Mint beginning in 2021, was designed specifically to court the Chinese investment and collector market — a demographic that had become central to the Mint's bullion strategy over the preceding decade. The 10 oz format at .9999 fineness was a deliberate move above the standard one-ounce tier, positioning the piece as a display and gift item rather than a purely fungible bullion holding.
