The left medallion shows Christ standing in a mandorla of stars, raising his right hand in blessing and holding an orb, surrounded by the legend REGIS·ISTE·DVCAT and SIT·T·XPE·DAT·Q·TV·. The right medallion depicts Saint Mark standing and presenting a gonfalon to the kneeling Doge, with the legend ALOY·MOCENICO and S·M·VENET·DVX.
