Obverse description The obverse features the fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley, depicting a right-facing crowned bust of the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem and a pearl drop earring. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine engraving detail, characteristic of the antiqued copper finish. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper left, AUSTRALIA 2014 along the upper right, and the denomination 10 DOLLARS along the lower portion of the field, flanked by two raised dots. The engraver's initials IRB appear beneath the truncation of the bust.
