| Aanvullende informatie |
New Zealand's gold bullion Kiwi series has been issued annually since 1991, functioning as the country's primary legal-tender gold bullion programme. The quarter-ounce denomination has remained the workhorse of the series — accessible enough for smaller investors but carrying the full .9999 fineness that distinguishes the later issues from the earlier .999 strikes.
The fourth portrait of Elizabeth II, by Ian Rank-Broadley, was in use from 1998 until her death in 2022, making 2021 one of the final years this effigy appeared on New Zealand coinage before the transition to Charles III.
