Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse presents a dramatic high-relief composition depicting two wedge-tailed eagles (Aquila audax) in a naturalistic rocky landscape setting. A large adult eagle dominates the foreground, its wings partially spread and head lowered with hooked beak toward a smaller bird crouching at lower left on rocky scrub. A second eagle soars in the upper right middle ground with wings fully extended, rendered in fine detail against the deeply mirrored field. The legend AUSTRALIAN WEDGE-TAILED EAGLE arcs along the upper border, while the date 2018, the weight denomination 10oz, and the purity inscription 9999 SILVER appear in the lower field. The Perth Mint's P mintmark is situated to the right of the central design.

Aanvullende informatie

The Wedge-Tailed Eagle series from Perth Mint has run in various formats since 2014, but the high-relief strikes represent a distinct production challenge: achieving sufficient metal flow into a deeply engraved die at this diameter requires multiple slower strikes under significantly higher pressure than a standard bullion coin. At 311 grams of .9999 fine silver, the planchet itself demands careful annealing before striking to prevent cracking at the relief edges.

Mintage on the 2018 high-relief issue was capped at 2,500 pieces worldwide.
