Obverse lettering ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA 10 DOLLARS IRB
Reverse description A kookaburra in full flight is depicted in high relief at the center of the reverse, wings fully extended and beak pointing downward, set against a matte outline map of the Australian continent rendered in the field. The legend AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA 2002 arcs along the upper border, while the inscription 10 OZ. .999 SILVER appears along the lower border. The design is framed by a beaded inner border consistent with the obverse. The contrast between the polished bird and the frosted background map creates a dramatic cameo effect characteristic of Perth Mint bullion issues.
